DONATE
February 20, 2016
Dear Friends and Colleagues:
The Charles H. Fairbanks Scholarship Fund, in conjunction with the Department of Anthropology at the University of Florida and the Florida Museum of Natural History, will be holding its annual fundraiser, the Armadillo Roast, on April 2nd, 2016.
The Armadillo Roast began in 1972 as a fundraiser to provide academic research scholarships for both undergraduate and graduate students in archaeology. Today, the scholarship is awarded to worthy Ph.D. candidates in the concluding stages of completing their dissertations. Students depend on these scholarships to support dissertation research and dissemination. The Charles H. Fairbanks Scholarship Fund Committee would like to ask for your charitable support through a monetary contribution to the Fairbanks Scholarship Fund. At previous years’ Armadillo Roasts, we have been able to raise $1500 or more for the Scholarship Fund, and we have set the ambitious goal of $2500 for the 2016 fundraiser. All contributions are appreciated and go directly to supporting archaeology students.
We would like to offer a personal thank you to those who have donated in years past, and we hope that you will help us with a contribution again this year. If you have any questions or need more information, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you in advance for your support.
All the best,
Liz Ibarrola and Kevin McDaniel
